How Billy & Co. helped Sunnybrook, a historic Roanoke, Virginia wedding and event venue, turn its website and social media into a real inquiry engine, not just a portfolio.
Sunnybrook is a historic wedding and event venue serving couples, corporate clients, and private-event hosts throughout Southwest Virginia. The property already had a beautiful setting, an established reputation, and years of history in the Roanoke Valley.
What it didn't have yet was a digital presence that worked as hard as the venue itself. Billy & Co. was brought in to turn Sunnybrook's website and social channels into a real discovery and inquiry engine.
We rebuilt Sunnybrook's on-site SEO to strengthen organic search visibility and close the gap between what prospective clients were actually searching for and what the website was showing them.
We rebuilt Sunnybrook's Instagram strategy from the ground up, shifting it from a static portfolio for existing followers into a discovery channel built to reach people who didn't already follow the venue.
Comparing the same five-month window before and after the strategy, every single month improved. This wasn't one lucky spike.
Of the 83 inquiries from March–July 2026, 57 were weddings, with the rest split across corporate events, private parties, and catering.
Two months into the new social strategy, May 2026 hit 69K views, more than 6x March 2026 and roughly 30x March 2025. July held at 42K, nearly 4x March 2026, showing the lift was a new, sustained baseline rather than a one-off viral moment.
A wedding venue's future clients are, by definition, people who haven't found it yet. Instagram shifted from mostly talking to people who already knew Sunnybrook to consistently putting the venue in front of new audiences.
Across Sunnybrook's historical inquiry data, Google was named more often than any other individual platform when couples were asked how they found the venue, confirming the SEO investment wasn't a nice-to-have, it was a primary channel working alongside social.
The goal was never to make the marketing look better, it was to make more people find the venue, discover the brand, and actually inquire. The data shows that's exactly what happened.
